Made by Hand is a Danish design house founded in Copenhagen in 2014. It draws inspiration from the artisanal traditions of Scandinavian design, particularly those dating back to the 1950s, to create pieces that are functional, durable, and visually balanced.
Its first success, the Workshop pendant lamp (originally designed in 1951 by A. Wedel-Madsen), marked the beginning of a catalog centered on simple forms, careful manufacturing and noble materials such as aluminum, wood or stretched fabric.
Today, Made by Hand produces lighting fixtures, fabric pendants, wall sconces, and a few pieces of furniture—all designed to fit into both professional and residential spaces. Its style is distinguished by a warm, understated style, faithful to the spirit of Danish design.
